Those who have known me for awhile know I blog. Those who know I blog know my dilemma: I cannot decide which domain name to use.
Should I use agarcia.tv or aarongarcia.net? For a short time, I used aaronjosephgarcia.com and agarciatv.com.
Now I recognize that no matter which domain I choose, I’m not exactly famous. No one cares! But, I do.
I’d like for my friends to instinctually know what my website. If I say, “It is on my website,” “Aaron Garcia” dot com seems to make the most sense. Unfortunately, I didn’t think to purchase that domain in 2008. But, I do own aarongarcia.net.
I like seeing my name in the URL bar. It’s a bit longer. Doesn’t look so good as an email address. Having my name repeated is not only redundant but long.
I’ve asked my friends what they thought. All have told me to stick with agarcia.tv. It’s convenient because I have used both the domain and email for years. It would be a lot of work to change all that anyway.
Well, now you know the decisions that keep me up at night! What do you think? Did I make the right one?
